5th and 6th Class Visit to the Comp
March 8th, 2016Today, 5th and 6th classes visited St. Patrick’s Comprehensive School to participate in a Junior Achievement programme with their Transition Year students. We were divided into five different groups and each group worked on different stations. The idea of the programme was to see how big a part Maths plays in PE and sport. The five stations involved basketball, bowling, soccer, ring-throwing and skipping activities. We had to tally all our scores for each activity and then get the average score for each group. Different groups performed better in different activities. We really enjoyed our visit and it was a nice experience to see the Comp and to work with some of their students. Big thanks to all the teachers and especially the students in the Comp and to Junior Achievement for inviting us to participate. We really enjoyed our day!
