Dear Parents/Guardians,

Welcome to a new school year. We extend an especially warm welcome to our new Junior Infants  and new pupils in other classes and their parents and hope that your time here in St. Tola’s will be happy and rewarding. Our news is as follows

If you have a query or concern our teachers are happy to meet with you at any time. If it will take a little time it is a good idea to make an appointment so that teacher will be free to talk to you.

  • We will be sending out a contact details form for all families next week. It is important that if you change your phone or move house that you let us know your new details so that we can contact you in case of emergency. We thank you for your co-operation in this matter.
  • Thank you to all families who have paid book money to date. We are grateful for your prompt payment. We would ask any families who still have book money due to pay by next Friday 9th September as the school must settle the book bill also.
  • If your child needs to leave school during the day for a medical appointment please call to the front office to collect them. Your child must be signed out if leaving the school early.
  • Our school Mass to celebrate the start of the school year will take place on Tuesday 13th Sept at 11a.m. here in the school hall. Parents/guardians and grandparents are welcome to attend if it is convenient for you.
  • Swimming will start next week for pupils in 5th and 6th classes. Class teachers will let your child know the day and time.
  • Second Class will begin Literacy Lift Off next Monday and it will continue on Mon to Thur for the next few weeks. All the teachers are looking forward to working with the pupils during Literacy Lift Off time.
