Thursday Note 25th May

May 25th, 2017

Dear Parents/Guardians,

We hope you are well this week. Our news is as follows:

  • Tomorrow we will be holding our sponsored walk here in school at 10a.m. If it is raining the walk will be postponed to another day but if it is sunny please ensure you have applied sun screen to your child & that they have extra water. Sponsorship cards must be returned to school by tomorrow Friday even if they are not filled out. A big thank you to everyone for taking part.

  • On Tuesday we had a very successful visit from the Birds of Prey centre. Each class got a chance to see the birds up close and we were very lucky the weather was good as we got to see the birds flying as well in the afternoon.
  • Thank you to Raquel Walton who came in to do clay printing with 3rd class last Thursday. The pupils really enjoyed it and got to make their own clay plaques!
  • Last Friday 2nd class went to see the Irish Coast Guard Helicopter which has a base in Shannon. They got a tour of the operations room and everyone was so excited to get to sit inside the helicopter and see some of the medical and safety equipment on board. Thank you to Kamil’s dad and Philip Wrenn for giving us a fantastic tour!
