5th Class 2D shapes

October 9th, 2017

5th class recently learned all about 2D shapes in Maths class. We thought there weren’t many triangular-shaped things in our school until we really looked around us and focused on finding that shape. There were so many triangles in our classroom and we found loads more when we explored our school grounds further. We even made our own triangular shapes out of ourselves!!

4th Class S.T.E.A.M Ramps

October 5th, 2017

4th class had great fun last week completing their S.T.E.A.M task. They had to use cardboard and sellotape to create a ramp that would get a toy car over a 10 cm gap. There was a lot of designing, measuring, testing and altering done to create the ramps and every group was really successful. Pupils then got to paint and ‘jazz up’ their ramps during art the following week.

The girls football team went to Wolfe Tones camogie field to take part in a blitz last Monday. The girls played absolutely brilliant on the day. They won a match and lost a match. Congratulations to New Quay and Kilkishen who go through to the next round. Well done to everyone involved.
