Dear Parents/Guardians,

We hope you are well and enjoying the current spell of fine weather. Our news is as follows

  • For the school year 2018/19 we will have nine class teachers, four Special Education teachers and one shared Special Education teacher. As we have a much smaller Junior Infant class enrolled for the coming year we will only have one Junior Infants next year. We will leave the current Juniors as two classes for their Senior Infant year and they will become one class in First Class. The following teachers are allocated to classes

  • School tours started this week with three classes going on tour. Seniors went to Dreamland in Limerick on Tuesday while Juniors went there yesterday. Both classes had a great time and enjoyed the slide, the airplane and the castle! First Class went to Ennis Gymnastics club and bowling yesterday and they too had a lovely day out.
  • Flyers went out this week in relation to a summer camp here in the school. This will take place the week starting the 9th This is organised by Mary Brown who is a past staff member. For further details please see the flyer available from school office.
  • An information meeting for parents of Junior Infants who are starting in September will take place tonight at 7pm here in the school. The new Juniors will come in for a morning next Thursday 14th June from 10a.m. to 12p.m. to meet their class teacher and see their classroom. We look forward to meeting them.
  • The first rounds of the annual Quiz brain of St. Tolas took place this week. There will be four rounds for all pupils from 3rd-6th The top 20 from these rounds will go through to two semi-finals and the top 5 will then compete in a head to head final which will take place on Thursday 28th June at 1p.m. We wish everyone well.
