Thursday Note 21st June

June 21st, 2018

Dear Parents/Guardians,

It’s hard to believe that today is the longest day of the year so hopefully it is a good one. Our news this week is as follows

  •  Thank you to all the staff who worked so hard yesterday to make our annual Sports for All day a success. It was great to see such a variety of activities from Pilates, races, GAA skills, circuits, games, obstacle course, dance and musical hoops. Well done to all our pupils who showed a positive sporting attitude and gave everything a go. Thank you to our parents and family members who came along to support us. We were lucky with the weather and got all activities completed. I’m sure everyone slept soundly last night!

Cycle Training 2018

June 6th, 2018

5th class took part in the Cycle Right programme recently. We learned all about the rules of the road and other ways to be a safe cyclist. Some of us even learned how to cycle and are very proud of all we achieved and learned. Many thanks to our instructors John and Kieron.

Shared Reading

June 6th, 2018

5th class were delighted to welcome Ms Kelleher and Senior Infants who read some of their favourite books for us. Everyone read so well and used their fingers to help them follow their reading. We hope to do some shared reading with them again before they move into 1st class. Thanks Seniors!!
