Autumn Fun

First Class went on a windy nature walk and found some wonderful Autumn leaves. Afterwards they worked in their groups to identify which type of leaves they found.

1st Class have been working very hard each week and on Fridays they enjoy some free play. The children can choose from a variety of activities such as construction using Lego, Mobilo and K’Nex. They can also play with board games, language games, Jenga and drawing/colouring activities. They look forward to this time each week and love to show off what they have made.

We hope you are well this week. Our news is as follows
- Congratulations to our girls’ football team who represented the school at the Cumann na mBunscoil competition in Gurteen on Tuesday last. The girls played very well and showed terrific team spirit. Unfortunately on this occasion the girls did not progress to the next stage of the competition but it was great to see their positive sporting attitude. Well done girls! Thank you to Mr. Tyrell and Ms Hehir who accompanied the girls to their competition.

October 4th, 2018Dear Parents/Guardians,
We hope you are well for this first week in October. Our news is as follows
- We are having a clothes recycling event here in the school on Tuesday 9th Oct next. Now is the time to declutter those wardrobes before the winter sets in. All unwanted clothes as well as bed linen, towels, curtains, paired shoes, soft toys, handbags and belts are accepted. We cannot accept duvets, pillow or mats. The clothes may be left into the hall from tomorrow Friday, Monday and up to 9.30am on Tuesday morning. All funds raised go towards school fundraising.
