Thursday Note 3rd October 2019

October 3rd, 2019

Dear Parents/Guardians,

We hope you are well. Our news this week is as follows

  • Today we are supporting our Ireland Rugby team with a Green Day. We are asking pupils to bring in €2 towards school fundraising. It is great to see so many green jerseys in the school today. Come on Ireland!

  • Pupils in 6th class making their Confirmation this year will have their enrolment Mass this Sunday in Mary Immaculate Church at 11a.m. Pupils must wear their school uniforms for this. We wish them well as they start their preparations for Confirmation.
  • If your child is sick and has been vomiting recently please keep them at home until recovered so as to avoid infecting other pupils.
  • Our girls and boys football teams will be playing in the Cumann na mBunscoil competition next week(weather permitting). We wish them every good wish.
  • Our astro turf is progressing well. Work has started on the fence and is progressing well. We are looking forward to having this extra space very shortly.
  • Parents’ Association AGM will take place on Tuesday next 3rd Oct at 7.30p.m. here in the school. All parents are welcome to attend. If your child attends the school you are automatically a member of the Parents’ Association. Why not come along and meet other parents and hear about the work the PA does to support the school.
  • We are closely monitoring the progress of Storm Lorenzo and hopefully it will pass over us safely this evening and tonight. If there are any updates in relation to the storm we will contact you via text message. Keep safe.

Kind regards,

Mary Dunlea Fitzgerald, Principal
