Dear Parents/Guardians,

We hope you are well this week. Our news is as follows

  • Congratulations to Mr. Quinn and his wife Deirdre on the birth of their new baby Sam who arrived safe and sound last Saturday. We also send congratulations to Freddie who is now a big brother.

  • Well done to 2nd class who recently completed fantastic projects on buildings around the world. The 2nd class pupils gave a short presentation on their projects to the whole school at Cruinniu last week and we all learned a lot. It was wonderful to hear about the Eiffel tower, the colosseum, Bunratty castle and other famous landmarks from around the world. Keep up the good work 2nd class!
  • Thank you to all the parents/guardians who attended this week for our parent/teacher meetings. Just to let you know that the teachers are happy to meet with you at any stage during the year. Please ring to make an appointment so that the teacher is free to meet with you at a time convenient to all.
  • There is a Confirmation preparation Mass this Sunday for pupils in 6th class making Confirmation this year. This will take place in Mary Immaculate Church at 11a.m.
  • Shannon Library are currently running a Scéal project for grandparents and children aged 8-12 on Fridays from 3.30p.m.-5.30p.m. This involves a grandparent sharing a fun time with their grandchild exploring memories, stories, songs, photos etc. For more information and to book a place please contact Shannon Library at 061 364266
  • Tomorrow is the last day for taking orders for Christmas annuals and school calendars. If you wish to order these the annuals cost €4 each and the calendars are €3 each. The calendars make a great gift for grandparents and family members!
  • As we edge closer to December our class teachers’ thoughts turn to Christmas plays and performances. We will have our Christmas shows on Wednesday 18th Dec starting at 9.30a.m. We will have a detailed schedule for each class performance closer to the date but you may want to mark the date in your diary.
