St Brigids Crosses

5th  class were busy bees making St. Brigid’s crosses in class today to celebrate the start of spring!! We were delighted to welcome both Junior Infant classes to join us. They even helped out and made some lovely crosses of their own!! Lá Fhéile Bríde gach duine!!

Grandparents Day 2020

We had a great turnout for our Grandparents Day ceremony in school on Thursday, as part of our Catholic School’s Week celebrations. Grandparents mean so much to our children and we thank you all for the important influence you have on their lives. Each class sang songs, recited poems and shared some important messages for their Grannies and Grandads. Thanks to everyone who took time to share the celebrations with us!!

Launch of the 20K Drop Fundraiser Event

  • We have it all – it is “the show”!!

Dear Parents,

We are writing to let you know about the most exciting night that we have ever undertaken. The highly professional 20k Drop show has attracted large audiences all over the country and we have booked it for Friday 28th February at the Oakwood Hotel, Shannon.  Proceeds of the fundraiser will be used to continue with the upgrading of our yard areas and invest/upgrade our IT for pupils. We are launching the show in St. Tolas school hall on Tuesday 4th February at 7.30pm and are asking all families to send a representative to our launch and see this for yourselves. After the launch, we hope that you will also join us on Friday 28th February for the show itself.

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Can you believe that we are almost at the end of January. Our news this week is as follows

  • Congratulations to our pupils in 2nd class who made their First Confession last Tuesday evening in Mary Immaculate Church. There was great excitement in the church and we were all very proud of our pupils. Well done! The next big day will be  First Communion in May.

  • We wish our quiz teams well this evening as they represent St. Tola’s in the annual Clare Inter-schools quiz competition. This is a long running quiz competition with Clare schools battling it out to see who will be crowned quiz champions. St. Tola’s has hosted this competition for over 30 years and this year is no exception.
