The Clare Children and Young People's Services Committee was established in December 2016.
Clare CYPSC is guided in its work by Better Outcomes Brighter Futures, The National Policy Framework for Children and Young People 2014 – 2020. Our work is structured around the five national outcomes for children and young people as outlined in our national framework.
The County Clare Children and Young People’s Plan will endeavour to promote the six transformational goals described within Better Outcomes Brighter Futures in order to achieve the national outcomes for children and young people. Those transformational goals are:
• Support parents
• Earlier intervention & prevention
• Listen to and involve children and young people
• Ensure quality services
• Strengthen transitions
• Promote cross-government and interagency collaboration & coordination

Our school was founded in 1978. We are a co-educational Catholic school under the patronage of the Bishop of Killaloe. We cater for children from Junior Infants to Sixth class. We currently have nearly 240 children enrolled in our school. We have 14 teachers based in our school and 2 Special Needs Assistants. We also have a secretary, caretaker and cleaner.
We are extremely proud of our school, and get opportunities to partake in lots of fun activities during the school year. We love to show off all the great work that we do in school, so have fun exploring our website to find out more! .

In Juniors we each have our own chair, and our name is on our table so that we don’t get mixed up and sit on the wrong chair.
Our chairs are yellow chairs and Juniors always love these chairs. We try our very best to sit on them safely so that we don’t fall off our chairs and hurt ourselves. We practise our ‘good sitting’ every day and our teacher shows us how to sit safely.
If we walk around the classroom we might bang into each other and fall over. Some of our friends sit near us at our table. We can all reach our pencils and crayons because they stay on our table in their pots.
Our teacher gives us red pencils for writing and crayons for colouring so that we don’t need any pencil cases in school.
Our day in juniors starts with everyone hanging up their own coats on our coat hangers. We have lots of space for all our coats.
Every boy and girl gets to take a turn and pick which coat hanger they can reach and then they hang up their coat all by themselves. We hang our coats up by their hood or their tag.
On hot sunny days you might not have any coat at all.
Here are the bathrooms in the Junior Infant classroom. This is where you can go if you need to use the toilet. There is one bathroom for the boys, and one for the girls.
After you use the toilet, you can wash your hands at the sink using soap and water. Then you can dry your hands using the paper towels and put them in the bin outside the bathroom door.
Sometimes we have to wash our hands in the bathroom after we do painting.
