Dear Parents/Guardians,

We hope you are well this week. Our news is as follows

  •  Thank you to the many Grandparents who joined us yesterday for our prayer service to give thanks for the gift of grandparents as part of Catholic Schools week celebrations. Please check out the wonderful pictures of this event on our school website at www.tolasns.com. The pictures can be seen in the gallery under Grandparents Day 2016. Thank you to all the pupils and staff who prepared wonderful art work to decorate the hall and who sang songs or said poems for the grandparents.

  • Congratulations to the pupils in 2nd class who made their First Confession on Tuesday evening in Mary Immaculate Church. We were all so proud of the great job they did and all the work they had put in to prepare for this sacrament. Well done 2nd class!
  • The Parents’ Association have organised a cake sale here in the school tomorrow Friday 5th Feb. The cake sale will take place in the hall from 1p.m.All donations of cakes and buns will be gratefully accepted. Parents are welcome to attend the cake sale also.
  • The Clare Primary Interschools Quiz will take place tonight in the school hall at 7.30p.m. We wish our two quiz teams well and we look forward to welcoming teams from schools from all around County Clare.
  • As part of Catholic Schools Week 2nd-6th classes visited Mary Immaculate Church on Tuesday where Fr. Arnie talked about the history of the church and how it is different to many other churches found in County Clare.
  • Literacy Lift Off is continuing in 1st Class where the pupils are working very hard on their reading, word building and writing skills. Keep up the good work 1st Class.
  • 3rd class are currently working on their Lego project as part of science and maths. They are learning how to programme on the laptops ,constructing robots from the Lego and getting the robots to carry out various tasks as per their programming. Well done 3rd class.
