Maths Stations in 2nd Class

January 29th, 2017

We are enjoying working in groups during our maths stations each week. Each week we get to work on new topics covered in maths the previous week(s). We enjoyed our pizza fractions this week. We had to put some pizza toppings into a half/quarter of the pizza. We had to work out how many toppings would be in the whole pizza. We are being challenged each week in the problem solving station.  Also we have sequencing numbers, jumping on in tens on the hundred square and using the arithmetic racks to increase our competency with number.

Peace Proms 2017

January 23rd, 2017

With our Peace Proms workshop taking place early in February, we have lots of work to do. Please check out the link for the songs and backing tracks, and practise them as often as you can, so we can impress the conductor on the day!  It would be great if everyone knew all their words because we also have choreography to learn before February.
