Bookfair 2016

April 20th, 2016

We had a very successful Bookfair last week. The children enjoyed coming with their classes to view all the books and to get a chance to read through them.  Last Monday and Tuesday were very busy afternoons and we hope the children are busy reading all their new books. Thanks to all the teachers who helped out with the Bookfair. Congratulations to all the winners who won different competitions in their class. Each winner received a free book of their choice from the Bookfair. The Bookfair provides the school with an opportunity to upgrade our Accelerated Reader library so many thanks to all of you who contributed.

FAI Soccer 2016

April 14th, 2016

Our boys and girls competed in the FAI 5-a-side soccer competition in Lees Road yesterday. We sent in a very strong boys and girls team. There were many schools participating from all over Clare. Some schools even had four teams entered! Our boys played Parteen, Kilmurry and Tulla. We had some very good matches beating Tulla  and drawing with Kilmurry but unfortunately we lost to a stronger Parteen outfit. Our girls played three games against Tulla, St. Aidans and Ballyea. They had some excellent battles all over the pitch and the games were very close. We beat Tulla and lost by narrow margins to St. Aidans and Ballyea. We all had a great day out!! Well done James, Jamie, Elijah, Joshua, Evan, Jack, Colin, Scott, Megan, Aoibhin, Farheen, Maryrose, Katie, Zoe and Esther. Huge thanks to Ms. O’Neill and Ms. Hogan for looking after us for the day.
