4th Class Helicopters – STEAM

February 12th, 2018

4th Class conducted an experiment last Friday as part of the STEAM program. They created paper helicopters using a template and they had to perform a number of different tasks. They had to predict before they carried out the tasks. We discovered a lot of interesting things. Pupils were fascinated that even with half a wing the helicopter still rotated.

4th Class Italy Projects

February 12th, 2018

Pupils in 4th class spent the last number of weeks learning about Italy. They then created some fabulous projects at home and brought them in to show the rest of the classes in the school. They learned some very interesting facts about the country. Did you know that the Vatican City in Rome is the smallest country in the World.

Maths Day 2018

February 12th, 2018

We had a very exciting Maths Day of celebrations today in the school! Every class came up with a couple of different games and presented them to every other class in the halla throughout the day. We had great fun sharing our games with older and younger children. We hope we can have more days like this in the school!!

Thursday Note 8th February 2018

February 8th, 2018

Dear Parents/Guardians,

We hope you are well this week. Our news is as follows

  • Senior Infants started Literacy Lift Off this week. This intervention takes place Monday to Thursday for one hour each day for six weeks. Each day the pupils will read a familiar book, a new book, take part in word work, do some writing and work on comprehension activities around the books they are reading. The children work in small groups for Literacy Lift Off and are supported by their class teacher Ms. Kelleher. Ms. Riordan, Ms Fitzsimons, Ms. Hogan and the principal, Ms. Fitzgerald. So far the teachers have been very impressed with the great work that Seniors have done already this week. Keep up the good work Senior Infants!
