Dear Parents/Guardians,

We hope you are well this week as we head into the season of Summer! Our news this week is as follows

• If you have changed your mobile phone number or your address please let the school know so that we can update our records. You can give the school office a ring on 061 362894 or call in to Tracey or let your child’s teacher know. It is very important that we have correct contact details in case we need to contact you in an emergency.

• There is a long standing tradition here in St. Tola;’s where the parents of pupils in 3rd class and the Parents’ Association organise some refreshments for the  First Communion pupils and their families after the First Communion ceremony which takes place this year on Sat 21st April. Letters will be going out today to the parents in 3rd class asking for help in organising this event.  If parents in any other class are available to help out on the day please let the school know and we will pass on this information to the Parents’ Association. This is always a lovely way for the pupils and their families to have a little break on the busy First Communion day.
• On behalf of everyone in our school community we wish Mr. David Quinn and his bride Deirdre every good wish as they get married today. We hope they have a wonderful day and many long years of health and happiness.
• As mentioned last week the school will be closed to pupils on Monday 23rd May to facilitate in- service training for staff on the new Primary Language curriculum. School will re-open on Tuesday 24th May at 9a.m. The school is closed for mid -term for the week starting Mon 30th May and re-opens on Tuesday 7th June at 9a.m.
