 Dear Parents/Guardians,

 We hope you are well this week as we head into December and all the excitement that brings! Our news is as follows:

  • 1st Class went to visit Shannon Senior Citizens Group yesterday in Purcell Park as part of their History class. They wanted to find out about life at school and games that children played when the Senior Citizens were their age. The pupils really enjoyed this visit and were fascinated by the stories they heard. We thank the Senior Citizens for facilitating this visit.

  • 4th class were in the Leisure Centre yesterday morning for a skills event in basketball and soccer organised by the Leaving Cert Applied students .The children all received certs to mark their participation.
  • Tickets for the Peace Proms concert are on sale from today. Pupils in 4th, 5th and 6th classes will be taking part in this concert with the Cross Border Orchestra on Saturday 4th March at 8p.m. We have a link to the website to purchase tickets on our school website at www.tolasns.com. Please make sure that you select tickets for the 8p.m. concert as there is another concert on the Saturday afternoon which we are not taking part in.
  • Our own Christmas concerts will take place on Tuesday 20th December. All classes are busy rehearsing at the moment. The timetable is as follows:

                    9.30a.m. -Junior Infants

                     9.55a.m. – Senior Infants

                     10.20a.m. – 1st Class

                    10.45a.m. – 2nd Class

                    11.10a.m.- 3rd class

                     11.45a.m.-4th class

                      12.05p.m.-5th class

                     12.35p.m. – 6th class

  • Our annual Carol Service will take place on Thursday 22nd Dec at 10a.m. in the hall. School will close for Christmas holidays at 12p.m. on Thursday 22nd December.
  • The orders have been sent off for the Christmas annuals and we expect delivery shortly. As soon as they arrive at the school we will distribute them to the pupils who have ordered them.
