  • Well done to our boys’ football team who played in the semi-finals of the Cumann na mBunscoil competition last Friday. They were unfortunately beaten by Cloughleigh N.S. but gave a terrific performance and did themselves proud.
  • The times for parent/teacher meetings went home with your child last week. They will take place on Tuesday 14th November and Wednesday 15th Nov. School will close on Tuesday 14th Nov at 2.25p.m.to facilitate the meetings and at the usual time on the Wednesday. Please contact the school office if you did not receive your time. We look forward to seeing you then.
  • Welcome back to school to Ms. Siobhan Kelleher. Ms. Kelleher is teaching Senior Infants and is looking forward to getting to know all the boys and girls in the class.
  • Well done to the pupils in 4th, 5th and 6th classes who recorded a CD in Mary Immaculate Church on Tuesday last. The pupils joined with St. Conaire’s school choir and volunteers to sing the Wonder of You. All proceeds raised will go towards the children who live in Goradiche Orphanage. Our pupils also got to sing Together We are One and performed beautifully. We hope that the CD will get to Number One for Christmas. More details will follow after the mid-term.
  • Tola’s will be closed to pupils on Wednesday 8th November as all teachers must attend in-service organised by the Department of Education and Skills on the new Primary Language Curriculum.
  • Pupils may dress up for Halloween if they wish tomorrow. Please remember to make sure that they are warm as we will be going outside if the weather allows at breaktimes. If they do not wish to dress up that is fine and they can wear their school uniform as usual.
  • Our mid-term break takes place next week. School will be closed to pupils all next week and re-opens at 9a.m. on Monday 6th November. I hope you have a safe and enjoyable mid-term break. Happy Halloween!!!
