Dear Parents/Guardians,

  •  Welcome back to a new school year. We hope you all had a lovely summer and are ready for a busy first term at school. A big welcome to our new Junior Infants and their families as well as some new pupils who have joined us in classes up the school. We hope your time here in St. Tola’s is enjoyable and that you learn lots. Our news this week is as follows

  • Our teachers for the year ahead are

Junior Infants- Ms. Lisa Hackett, Senior Infants – Ms. Siobhan Kelleher, Senior Infants – Mr. Gary Tyrell ( covering for Ms. Fiona Burke who is on maternity leave) 1st Class- Ms. Karen Riordan, 2nd class – Ms. Lorna O’ Neill, 3rd class – Ms. Diana Fleming, 4th class – Ms. Amanda Corry, 5th class – Mr. David Quinn, 6th class – Ms. Noreen Vaughan SET team – Ms. Clare Fitzsimons, Ms. Ciara Cleary, Ms. Edel Halliday, Ms. Marie Hehir, Ms. Lorraine Connolly

  • We extend a warm welcome to Mr. Gary Tyrell who is teaching Senior Infants and we welcome back Ms. Amanda Corry who will teach 4th class for the year ahead.
  • Congratulations to Ms. Fiona Burke and her family on the safe arrival of her new baby girl called Nessa. Also huge congratulations to Ms. Alicia Nyhan and her family who also welcomed a new baby girl called Sophie. We wish them well.
  • Thank you to all the families who have paid for books and school supplies already. We kindly ask that all books are paid for by Friday next 7th We thank you for your co-operation in this matter.
  • We are sending this out today in hard copy but from next week this note will be emailed. Please find attached the contact sheet. We kindly ask that you fill this in with your details to ensure that we have the most up to date contact information for you. Please also find attached a copy of the booklist for your child  for the coming year. These books have been purchased and organised here in school.
  • The school will be open to receive pupils at 8.35a.m.No responsibility is accepted for pupils for pupils arriving before that time. All pupils assemble in the hall in the morning. Classes will commence at 9a.m. and pupils should arrive no later than this time.
  • For pupils from 1st class-6th class classes will end each day at 2.40p.m. Parents who wish to have their children escorted home should make their own arrangement to have them met at the school no later than 2.40p.m. as the school cannot accept responsibility for looking after the children after that time.
