3rd and 4th Class Gaelic Football Blitz – Wednesday 26th October

3rd and 4th Class went to Wolfe Tones GAA club on Wednesday 26th October. They were joined by 4 other schools and were split into 30 teams with members from all the schools. Each team played 4 Gaelic football matches. All the pupils had a great day.


4th Class Maths Week – Wednesday 19th October

As part of maths week 4th class took part in a maths trail around the school. They had to work as a team and use their brilliant maths skills to figure out clues throughout the school. Pupils had to add, multiply, measure, count, divide, tell time, feel shapes, sort money and use many other maths skills to help them complete the trail. The pupils thoroughly enjoyed the trail.


Fun Activities in 3rd Class

1916 Artefacts – Shannon Library Tuesday 4th October

November 10th, 2016

4th class made a very exciting trip to Sean Lemass Library in Shannon where they learned a huge amount about 1916 and the lead up to the rebellion. Pupils got to see and hold artefacts and wear clothes linked with the past and 1916. They asked numerous questions and were really enthusiastic to take part. It was a really interesting experience for the pupils in 4th class.
