Maths Day 2018
February 12th, 2018Thursday Note 8th February 2018
February 8th, 2018Dear Parents/Guardians,
We hope you are well this week. Our news is as follows
- Senior Infants started Literacy Lift Off this week. This intervention takes place Monday to Thursday for one hour each day for six weeks. Each day the pupils will read a familiar book, a new book, take part in word work, do some writing and work on comprehension activities around the books they are reading. The children work in small groups for Literacy Lift Off and are supported by their class teacher Ms. Kelleher. Ms. Riordan, Ms Fitzsimons, Ms. Hogan and the principal, Ms. Fitzgerald. So far the teachers have been very impressed with the great work that Seniors have done already this week. Keep up the good work Senior Infants!
St Brigids Day 2018
February 1st, 2018There was a real spring in our step this morning so what better way to celebrate the start of spring and St Brigids Day than making our very own crosses. 5th class were delighted to have Ms Hacketts Junior Infant class come to help us and 6th class popped in to make some crosses also. We are going to hang them up in our homes so that they can keep the people of our homes safe. Happy St Brigids Day everyone!
Grandparents Day 2018
February 1st, 2018
We were delighted to welcome so many grandparents and other family members and friends to our Grandparents Day service earlier today. We had such a large crowd that we had people in every empty space in the hall. Every class told a short story, a poem or sang a song for their grandparents. It was such a lovely morning. We were delighted to get the chance to tell our grannies and grandads how special they are to us in our lives. They are famous now that their photo is up on the internet!!
